Introducing a Day of Energy & Ink…. a day of change.
In our beautiful studio you will feel held and at ease, while you release old traumas through Silent Counselling, settle your energetic body through an hour long Reiki session, before spending the afternoon marking the changes (literally!) with a tattoo chosen by you. This can be held with up to two people so you can share the experience with a friend/spouse/relative, or for one person if a day of solitude is what your heart is calling for.
A Little About Us
We are James and Cat, a husband and wife duo and the owners of Rowan Tree Studio in Charleston Village, Angus. We have been working separately from our studio since late 2023 (after we converted it from an old dusty garage), and have decided to combine our skills, to hold a retreat day like no other! A combination of energy work and tattooing, all in our studio, where you will feel safe and at ease. The location is rural, so it’s generally quiet and is behind big gates so we aren’t overlooked at all. The decor is clean and chill. We have worked hard to make the studio a place that suits both our work and feels like a safe space.
What To Expect
The day will begin at 10am when you will be welcomed by Cat. A Tea Ceremony awaits you, and as you enjoy your choice of freshly brewed tea we will discuss the day, what to expect and any questions you have, A gift bag also awaits you, which includes hand chosen and crafted items made lovingly by us, including a handmade leather bound journal.
Silent Counselling
Your Silent Counselling session will then take place, this can take anywhere from 20 mins to an hour. If you are sharing the day with a friend/partner you will each have a separate Silent Counselling session, therefore the other will be made comfortable to enjoy a hot drink and spend some time journalling (journal prompts relevant to the season will be supplied).
Reiki
Following the energetic release through Silent Counselling, you will be made comfortable on the reiki bed, and a blissful hour of reiki will follow. This truly is the most relaxing thing you can do for yourself and is a perfect integration of all the energy shifts taken place in the Silent Counselling session.
A light lunch will follow, where you will have some alone time to process the morning.
James will join you after lunch, he will prepare your stencil and finalise the sizing and placement before an afternoon of tattooing commences. Following your tattoo you will be given care instructions and a tattoo aftercare package. (Tattoo designs will be discussed and created ahead of time so you will be 100% happy with your final design before the day!).

The total investment for the day (for two people sharing the experience) is £333. This can be paid in installments if necessary. For an individual to have the day to themselves, the investment is £222.
We will only hold one of these days per month, so spaces are limited.
